Hey, I think I received a "pre-whittled" whittlin' kit! Inside the tube were a couple of rather slim twigs. I needed my reading glasses to find the folding "pocket" knife. Yeah, Tom Thumb's pocket.
All kidding aside, I purchased the Dennis Miller Whittlin' Kit as a novelty conversation piece and a bit of show history. Here it succeeds. Seeing Dennis' mug on the tube with the words "whittlin' kit" just cracks me up. Maybe I'll save it and do some whittlin' on Dennis' 25th anniversary show. Certainly one of the oddest promotions ever by any show...I guess if you exclude the Dennis Miller "Listening Fez"...which I also ordered at the same time. Whittlin' while wearing the fez just ain't right.
